What Client do I need to play the Open Beta?
You will need to download the Open Beta Client. First you have to go to www.aiononline.com, then
select “About Aion” and finally go to the Download section.

I have played the Closed Beta before, do I need to download a new Client as well?
No, by starting your old client it will update itself automatically. You can however download the
update from aiononline.com

I downloaded the Aion client but can‘t unzip it
To avoid any problems unzipping the Aion Open Beta clients, please use the freeware tool 7ZIP, which
you can download from www.7-zip.org.

What will the pre-order key give me access to?
You will have access to the Open Beta and the server and character pre-selection. In addition you will
be able to play Aion before the official launch! The Head start is on the 20th September

Will I keep my Open Beta character for the Head start?
No, all Beta characters will be deleted on the 14th September to bring all players to the same level in
the final game.

When will I get to choose my character/server and reserve my name?
On the 18th September is the pre-selection for all who have the pre-order. The Head start is on the
20th September, then you will be able to log in with your pre-selected character.

When will I get my Collector’s Edition items enabled on my character?
Wherever you bought it from (NCsoft store, other website or a physical box in retail) you will get
these items at launch and not during Head start! This will effect characters created during pre-
selection, Head start and after release.
